Waste Pipe Leaks
All leaks are not the same. Sometimes even if its a clear leak it can be mistaken for water when its actually a waste pipe (drain pipe). Depending on materials that waste pipe are made of; abs plastic (black plastic pipe), pvc (white plastic pipe), lead, copper, cast iron, steel can somewhat increase costs of a repair. Because there may be more time involved in making the repair to cast iron vs. abs this may increase repair costs but not overly large depending on the leak.
Lead is very tricky and can be a very expensive repair, simply because it can literally shatter to pieces once it’s touched.
